Kimberley Broomfield-Massey, Ph.D., is an experienced evaluator and researcher specializing in participatory methods, quantitative and qualitative research, and facilitation. She is passionate about youth development, maternal and child health, and organizational development and strives to empower BIPOC populations to promote health equity.
Her experience involves partnering with local, regional, and national nonprofit organizations, such as the Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Reaching Our Sisters Everywhere (ROSE), United States Breastfeeding Committee (USBC), and Usher’s New Look.
Kimberley founded Urban Metrics Consultants, LLC in 2010 to bridge the gap between the community and academia. Her unique approach to evaluation has dismantled hierarchy, disrupted traditional exchanges of power, and fostered bidirectional relationships that fuel true impact. More than an evaluator, she is a storyteller and caretaker, skilled at translating complex ideas into clear messages and creating safe spaces for clients, stakeholders, and evaluation participants.
When Kimberley is not working with her clients, she enjoys traveling with her husband Jerry and son Lucas and spending time with family and friends.
